Bee populations are in decline worldwide, prompting urgent calls for action as the world marks Bee Day.
The United Nations designated today, May 20, as World Bee Day to highlight the vital role the pollinators play in sustaining ecosystems and securing global food supplies.
Currently close to 40 percent of invertebrate pollinators face extinction.
