Hello everyone, Ramadan Mubarak to you all, and welcome to the 2nd issue of “Sharing the World with You“ !
From all of us here at Radio 4EB, we hope your holy month was one of happiness, togetherness, and meaningful reflection.
Things are exceptionally busy here at Radio 4EB. We were delighted this month to be visited by the Honorable Zed Seselja, Senator for the ACT and Federal Minister for International Development and the Pacific. Accompanied by the Honorable Paul Scarr, avid Radio 4EB supporter and Senator for Queensland, both Senators enjoyed an afternoon tea with members from our Radio 4EB Pacifica communities, before Minister Seselja headed upstairs to conduct interviews with several of our Pacifica programs.
April also saw us graced with a visit from his excellency, Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye, ‘High Commissioner of Rwanda to Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia’.
In partnership with the Ethnic Communities Council for Queensland (ECCQ) we hosted ‘Vote to Influence’. Attended by federal candidates from all major parties (sans the Hon Terri Butler MP who was caught up in Darwin and sent a representative), the evening was held to ensure local culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women were provided with the opportunity to learn more about the power of their vote. Both in general, and in the lead up to the federal election.
In other news, we are very excited to be joining forces with the Queensland State Government’s Department of Employment, Small Business, and Training (DESBT) as a media and planning partner for the upcoming ‘Queensland Multicultural Small Business Expo’.
Lastly, this month’s issue is also full of double pass ticket giveaways from our station sponsors. From the And last but not least, this month’s issue is also full of double pass ticket giveaways from our station sponsors.
