On 15 November, 4EB’s Serbian group welcomed the new Serbian Ambassador to Australia Mr Rade Stefanović to our studios.
After a long day of diplomatic events in Brisbane, which included a meeting with Governor of Queensland Dr Jeanette Young and Deputy Chair of Brisbne City Council Mr Peter Matić, Mr Stefanović joined the Serbian group at Radio 4EB to talk about different issues affecting the Serbian community, including his perspectives on the diplomatic relations between Serbia and Australia, and sports.
While the interview with Ambassador Stefanović turned out positive and informative for the community, the Serbian group invited Mr Stefanović to engage in one of the group’s favourite traditions: – the quadrennial celebratory opening of the shiny red packets of Panini World Cup stickers. Mr Stefanović shared with the audience his joy of collecting these stickers with his daughters, ending the interview on a light note filled with nostalgia and positive outcomes.
