Providing potential and current business owners information and advice on how to establish and operate a successful small business in Australia, as a part of Queensland Small Business Month, Radio 4EB has partnered with the Department of Employment Small Business and Training (DESBT) to present the ‘Queensland Multicultural Small Business Expo’: May 17th, 8:30AM to 1:00PM at Nissan Arena, 590 Mains Road, Nathan.

The aim of the Queensland Multicultural Small Business Expo is to assist potential and current multicultural business owners to navigate the legislative requirements and taxation law obligations associated with running a small business in Australia. The Event will also equip small business owners with the knowledge, business contacts, linkages, and confidence to successfully establish and operate a business in Australia.
Including a rolling series of workshops/sessions on key topics such as marketing, finance, employing staff and more as well as an opportunity for business owners to access the Queensland Government ‘Mentoring for Growth’ program, there will also be information stalls where attendees can collect information on setting up and running a small business, ask individual questions and seek contact details from stall holders to follow up in the future.
A highlight of the event will be a live Q&A session led by Maree Adshead, The Queensland Small Business Commissioner alongside conversations with successful migrant business owners sharing their personal success stories and offering advice to aspiring entrepreneurs.
