My name is Wimal Kannangara, a new member of the Radio 4EB Board of Directors.

I was born and educated in Sri Lanka as an Engineer. Later I became an Accountant and drifted into ERP as an SAP Consultant. Education has given me great opportunities to travel the world and work with different people across the globe, working in Sri Lanka, Nigeria, New Zealand, USA, Singapore and Australia where I have spent more than 25 years. Apart from Australia, the most memorable places are New Zealand and Singapore for very different reasons.

I have been involved with Radio 4EB since 2003 and served the Sri Lankan Group in various capacities. I am most grateful to Robert Taylor for his excellent training in panel operation and in presenting a radio program.

I am grateful to the universe to have given me great opportunities in life and my philosophy is to serve the community, especially using my skills. It gives me joy to see the organisations I volunteer benefit from my skills.

My favourite foods

The person who has made a big impact on me is
