Hi everyone,
As the weather certainly cools down, things have been heating up at the station! It’s been a huge month or two with lots of events and celebrations, both with our individual communities and also with the rest of the sector, have a read on and see where 4EB was this month!
At the station, I would like to welcome on board a couple of new team members: the lovely Real has joined us on all things marketing and communications, if you follow us on social media, you will have noticed a stronger presence, if your not already ‘following’, don’t be left behind. We would love to welcome any relevant content you might like to share with us, email [email protected] and direct your story to Real. As most of you are aware, the wonderful Alex Nagl left us a few weeks ago, whilst we wish him well at the CBAA, he has definitely been missed. I would like to extend a big welcome to Philadelphia, who spent 6 months with us a year ago doing an internship and has come back in a casual capacity to assist with scheduling and Studio 4 recordings.
In other news, as we close out the financial year, we were advised of our successful applications from the CBF for the 2023-24 year. It was great news to hear about on-going funding for The Wire, such a significant national current affairs program and all being managed from the 4EB Newsroom, the most culturally diverse newsroom in the country! Stay tuned for more exciting developments coming out of our Newsroom.
Of course, I can’t finish off without a gentle reminder to renew your subscription. You support for our broadcast groups helps keep them on air and supports us to provide valuable support to our wonderful volunteer broadcaster and keep you informed and entertained!
Warm regards,
Jo Pratt
