Aged care workers and unions have been left disappointed by Tuesday night’s budget for failing to address one of the fundamental recommendations of last year’s aged care royal commission to increase wages. The Australian Aged Care Collaboration, which represents six aged care peak bodies, says the aged care wage still doesn’t meet the cost of living in the country.
