Australian universities today increasingly resemble corporate entities rather than public institutions. Institutions that were once considered the bastions of public goods and service – dedicated to research, teaching and public service.
However, it appears in June and July, Australian universities such as UTS, ANU, and Wollongong will lay off staff members in June and July. Why is this happening?
