In Australia an average of 110 people die from domestic and family violence every year. Proudly supported by Radio 4EB, Darkness To Daylight is a 110km run organised by Challenge DV in partnership with The Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Prevention Council – where each kilometre represents one of those lives lost.
But we know everyone has different abilities, and you don’t have to do 110 km’s to show your support, even 3 km would be amazing! For the 3km event, arrive in front of Parliament House on George Street by 5.15am. The course will head out through QUT Main Street and then continue into the Botanical Gardens, then over the Goodwill Bridge, along South Bank, along Riverside Drive and then returning back along South Bank, the Goodwill Bridge, finishing in the beautiful entrance way of Parliament House.
May is ‘DFV Prevention Month’ and The Queensland DFV Prevention Council’s aims to ‘recognise that DFV is everyone’s concern and ending it is everyone’s responsibility’
