Held from 25th-27th March, the 2022 Warwick Celtic Festival was the first festival the Warwick Caledonian Society, Warwick Thistle Pipe Band and the Inverness Highland dance studio have hosted for many years and Warwick Caledonian Chieftain, Alexander Manfield was delighted to have the 4EB Scottish group in attendance.
From massed pipe bands to Highland and Irish dancing, highland games-heavy events, a pipe band competition, clan gatherings, Celtic choirs, a medieval village, Celtic-themed markets and Hielen coos (cows) to Viking and Jacobite re-enactments, the festival had something for everyone. Those feeling peckish feasted on classic Scottish treats like haggis and Guinness and Scotch pies or for a drink to wash it all down – Irn Bru was served in addition to beers and was more popular than Coke!
In attendance with their own tent, the radio 4EB Scottish team shared and highlighted for attendees all the amazing programs and opportunities Radio 4EB offers. Those unable to attend the Warwick Celtic Festival are encouraged to attend ‘The Gathering’ in Ipswich on the 21st and 22nd of May at the Ipswich Turf Club. The Radio 4EB Scottish team will once again be in attendance and this time with the 4EB outside Broadcast van. With something there for everyone, they look forward to seeing you there!
