Thanks to our station sponsors we’re giving away a stack of double passes to wrap the month up. Double passes mean winners get two tickets, one for themselves and one for a friend of their choice. This month we’re giving away tickets to the Spanish Film Festival, Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s (QPAC) upcoming tribute to Greece’s greatest ever composer Mikis Theodorakis and Brisbane Writers Festival.

  • A great way to learn about and celebrate Spanish culture whilst broadening your film horizons, this year’s Spanish Film Festival sees a curated selection of 34 films offering a cinematic journey across Spain and Latin America. To enter simply email [email protected] with Spanish Film Festival as the subject and the name of the film you would like to see + your name, email, and phone number.
  • Valued at $100 per ticket, May 27th @ QPAC concert hall will see a special one-night-only concert event celebrating the life of Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis. Born in 1925, Theodorakis is regarded as the greatest composer in Greek history, galvanising an entire nation when he penned the film score to Zorba the Greek, along with countless other rousing symphonies and ballads. To enter simply email [email protected] with Mikis Theodorakis as the subject + your name, email, and phone number.
  • Brisbane Writers Festival is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2022 with a program of more than 200 events taking place over six huge days from May 3–8. As Brisbane’s major literary event, the festival is full of engaging storytelling and celebrations of the written word. A proud sponsor of Radio 4EB, this year, the festival will feature a focus on Pasifika and Aotearoa New Zealand artists. Wed May 4th @ The State Library, Radio 4EB has a double pass to give away to J.P. Pomare’s ‘A Life in Crime: Ngaio Marsh’. One of the four “Queens of Crime” writing during the genre’s Golden Age, Ngaio Marsh both defined and subverted the conventions of crime writing. The event will see J.P. Pomare, himself a winner of the Ngaio Marsh Award, and Mirandi Riwoe, ‘Queensland Literary Award Fiction Prize’ shortlisted author – reflect on Ngaio Marsh’s writing, its impact and legacy. To enter simply email [email protected] with BWF as the subject + your name, email, and phone number.

All ticket winners will be drawn at random, and winners notified via email / phone! Be sure to follow Radio 4EB socials for an ongoing stream of ticket giveaways.
