I am honored to be nominated for a position on the Board of Directors at EBAQ (Radio 4EB). I believe my expertise and experience will greatly benefit Radio 4EB during this exciting period of upcoming changes, as well as in future directions. I am a media and communications scholar, currently serving as a Chief Investigator at the Digital Media Research Centre (DMRC) and as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Communication, Queensland University of Technology (QUT). I earned my PhD in Digital Media in 2020 and have since served as a member of the faculty academic board at QUT. Traditional media formats (e.g., television, radio, newspapers) have been disrupted by
digital technologies (e.g., YouTube, streaming services, podcasts), requiring the adoption of new strategies to address such disruptions. My expertise in the field of media studies, combined with my experience as an academic and a faculty board member, can provide valuable insights to the Board of Radio 4EB during this important decision-making period regarding the station’s future directions.
I am looking forward to collaborating with the Board and am confident that members will find me to be a great fit for this position.
