Barrio Fiesta Brisbane is a vibrant celebration of Filipino culture and heritage; a showcase of the rich traditions and the warm hospitality as the Filipino community commemorate the Philippines Independence. It is a vehicle for transmitting the culture to the younger members and provides a platform for them to showcase their talents. The purpose is to promote understanding and appreciation of the diverse cultural mosaic of the Australian community.
This year is special because It marks the 125th year commemoration of the Philippine’s independence. It is a date that reminds the Filipino community of the sacrifices made by countless heroes who believed in the dream of a free sovereign Philippines.
Barrio Fiesta Brisbane will showcase the beauty of the Filipino culture through stage performances representing our diverse regions, and the melodies that resonate deep within our souls. The Filipino food with its delicious taste and appetizing aroma will embrace you.
Barrio Fiesta Brisbane will be on 11 June 2023 at the Rocklea Showgrounds on Ipswich Rd, Rocklea.
