FROM THE 4EB TELUGU GROUP

Celebrating 17 years of dedicated service, the Telugu Lahari radio group, an integral part of the 4EB ethnic community radio station, continues to be a pillar for the Telugu-speaking community. Since its inception in September 2005, initiated by a group of Telugu-speaking enthusiasts, the group has consistently delivered engaging Telugu programs on a weekly basis, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the rich culture and language within the community.

In commemoration of Telugu Lahari’s anniversary, the group hosted a lively annual event in September 2023. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both children and adults within the Telugu-speaking community, featuring small skits, cultural dances, and musical performances. This collective display showcased the vibrant and diverse Telugu cultural heritage to the wider Australian community.

Adding an element of knowledge-sharing, the group organised a quiz competition for children, focusing on Telugu cultural festivals. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the deserving winners, enhancing the joyous celebration.

The annual event served as a heart-warming occasion for community gathering, embodying a splendid celebration of Telugu culture. Stay tuned for more updates on community events and cultural highlights!
