The use of AI in Australia’s arts industry has sparked major debate. With some artists and musicians concerned their work could be used to train AI music creation platforms without compensation. This comes as reports reveal AI is capable of generating seven million tracks daily.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese spoke broadly on AI use yesterday, acknowledging that Australian companies should not use art, music, books or news for AI training.
But calls for a stronger stance on copyright laws have increased, urging the Government to boost mechanisms against AI misuse.
