Victoria has entered a historic new chapter after becoming the first Australian state to formally begin a statewide Treaty process with First Peoples. A new series of short films is exploring what Treaty means and why it matters.
The Sovereign Shorts program at the Melbourne International Film Festival features FOUR First Nations-led documentaries focused on the theme of Treaty.
The program provides free mentoring, resources and 40 thousand dollars of budget for each film maker.
