Radio 4EB Disaster Relief Appeal

Radio 4EB currently broadcasts in over 50 different languages and is Brisbane's only multilingual radio station broadcasting 24/7, connecting tens of thousands of listeners in South East Queensland everyday. For many listeners it is the only source of information with their country of origin and a reliable place to hear community announcements along with local news.

In the wake of immense destruction caused by Victoria’s worst ever bush fires and excessive flooding in North Queensland, Radio 4EB has extended their role as an important hub of Brisbane’s culturally diverse population, not only ensuring that all members of the community have accurate and up to date information on these disasters but also by encouraging the community to dig deep and support the victims of these disasters in the astonishing journey to recovery that lies ahead.

While the devastation suffered by the victims of these natural disasters are extraordinary, the Radio 4EB community have recognised the need to lend a helping hand in this time of crisis and are collecting donations in support of both the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal and Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal Fund.

Since the launch of the Radio 4EB Disaster Relief Appeal on Sunday, 15th of February over $45,000 has been raised!

Donations to the ‘Radio 4EB Disaster Relief Appeal’ can be made through to Midnight Sunday on the 22nd of February and all donations will need to be paid in full by Friday the 6th of March. Cheques and Money Orders should be made out to ‘Radio 4EB’. All donations are fully tax deductible.

Proceeds will go to the Red Cross who will then distribute money to the communities in need.

The Radio 4EB Disaster Appeal is an opportunity for everyone in our community to provide immediate support to the families in the most need and every donation will make a difference.
