Celebrating 4EB's Cultural Diversity
Radio 4EB FM is celebrating our cultural diversity with a weekly theme focusing on one of our 52 different language groups.
Each week a small display is being erected on the glass notice board,located in the foyer on level two with the profile of the group’s region,language and the group’s history at Radio 4EB.
4EB FM provides a brief description of the group’s region,language, the group’s history at 4EB, currency, government etc. Directly underneath there is an invitation to make a donation to Radio 4EB FM or that group. This is for our guests and visitors.
The goal is to-:
* Celebrate our cultural diversity
* Educate about each other's language/country/region in our global village
* Promote our programs
* Appeal for donations
We are running alphabetically from A-Z.
We have 52 ethnic groups (not including the Multicultural Group or Friends of 4EB). There are 52 weeks in the year, so we have started at Week 11, which falls on 'C' for the Czech Group (week beginning 15th March 2010).
We have invited our broadcasters to add any pictures, photos or small decorations a week before their group’s theme approaches.
In the event that a group does not wish to participate, then the opportunity will be given to other programs (eg. Youth or Multicultural).
If you a visiting 4EB FM or you are a financial member, please feel free to check out the display.
Many thanks for helping 4EB FM to continue "Sharing The World With You."
