'The Wire' current affairs program resumes on Radio 4EB next Tuesday Feb 7. The independent program is broadcast by a consortium of progressive community broadcasters based in Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane. The wire is Broadcast on Radio 4EB Monday to Friday at 5.30am and Monday to Thursday 1.00pm
“Breakfast with BEMAC”, is a new show on 4EB which kicks off on the 14th February, from 8:15am-9:15am every Tuesday. BEMAC will be sharing new music, key happenings in the arts sector as well as other newsworthy points. There will be a range of guests and some in-studio live acoustic sets as well as interviews from the street!
World Radio Day will be celebrated around the world on Monday February 13 for the very first time. The date corresponds with the birth of UN Radio in 1946. World radio Day seeks to raise awareness about the importance of Radio in society today.
Last year's radiothon was a huge success. Radio 4EB exceeded our original target with just over $54,000 received. Pledges for Radiothon 2011 totalled just over $60,000. You can still honour your pledges by calling the office on 3240 8600.
Radio 4EB were the big winners at the recent NEMBC conference and awards night in Tasmania picking up three awards in 6 categories. Congratulations to Women's Profile, Oxygen and Thomas Wright for the German Group.
